rereading the Harry Potter series and just finished Prisoner of Azkaban! I was able to read a lot of new stuff in 2023 and wanted to go back to the good old reliables. Never disappoints
Over Christmas break, I dove into Fourth Wing and Iron Flame head first and did not come up for air unless dragged to the surface (kicking and screaming) by my family. I’m always a little cautious and a lot cynical going into books that are super hyped but gosh darn it I loved those books so much.
I want my life to be Emilia’s in How to Find Love in a Bookshop. I am also trying to ready more slowly this year and savor my books, and I enjoyed this one immensely!
Also replying here (to a fellow Claire!) in the hopes that this works the same as the email reply!!
A book that I can’t stop thinking about how good it truly was was The Summer of Songbirds by Kristy Woodson Harvey. I already cannot wait for a reread this summer.
Also replying here, hope that is ok! I read “Caroline” by Sarah Miller and it made me reflect on just how HARD it would have been to be a pioneer wife on the edge of civilization. While pregnant, with hostile parties nearby, almost no female companionship, and constant life-threatening situations. It also made me want to re-read all the Little House books!

My favorite new (to me) reads this past year were Blackout and All Clear by Connie Willis. So good I finished and circled back to read them again!

Can I reply here? I just finished The Fault in Our Stars and I liked it a lot. Will recommend to my 13-year-old.
